Our Introduction to Healthcare and IT Seminars are designed as a bridge to the occupational training courses/programs available in the Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) at Hostos. Each seminar consists of up to 12 modules that can be delivered over the course of a customized schedule.
The seminar modules include: 1) Introduction to the industry; 2) sector-based outlook; 3) Hostos Healthcare and IT occupational training programs overview; 4) Day in a life and labor market information for all occupational training covered in the seminar; and 5) transition to work/college.
The seminar is robust in educational materials and resources for students to make an informed decision about choosing a certificate course/program in healthcare or information technology at Hostos Community College in the Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development.
