Biography:  Stacey J. Cooper is a Developmental Psychologist and she holds degrees from the City College of New York and the CUNY Graduate Cetner, respectively. Dr. Cooper started at Hostos in 2009 as an Adjunct Lecturer and became an Assistant Professor of Psychology in 2018. She is the Principal Investigator of The Ethnic Minority Immigrant Cultural Identity & Learning Project. Dr. Cooper was a contributor to the Dr. Alberto M. Bursztyn and Dr. Carol Korn-Bursztyn book Immigrant Children and Youth:  Psychological Challenges (2015). She is the creator and administrator of Hostos Psychology Faculty Resource (est. 2016). Her teaching interests are learning identity, ethnic identity, culuturally relevant teaching, asset-based and inclusive pedagogy, immigration, and digital pedagogy.
