CUNY Career Launch
 
CUNY Career Launch is a paid summer internship program for undergraduate CUNY students with no previous paid internship experience. Selected interns will be compensated $20/hr, 19 hours per week, for 7-weeks this summer, for their work in an organization related to one of four growing industries!

CUNY Career Launch gives you the opportunity to intern in a specific industry. Applicants must choose ONE industry hub to apply to.
 
CUNY Career Launch internships are in these industries:  
  • Healthcare 
  • Education 
  • Marketing & Communications  
  • Community & Social Services 
  • Grassroots Organizing 
  • STEM & Green (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; environmental preservation, clean energy and efficiency, climate mitigation)

Additional eligibility includes:
  •  Eligible to work in the U.S. (International students can apply!).
  • Available for 19 hours/week every week from early July until late August.
  • Students are between 18 and 24 years old on January 28, 2023.
  • A current undergraduate student and plans to enroll in fall 2023 CUNY courses or plan to graduate spring or summer 2023. WE ARE HOPING TO REACH COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS!
  • Student(s) must be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or higher).
  • Have not participated in Career Launch Summer 2022, Spring Forward 2023, or any other paid internship.
  • Not be an employee of the CUNY Research Foundation as of July 3, 2023.

  • Watch the Video: How to Fill Out Common Resume Sections 
  • Sign-up with Skillshop, Grow with Google, for guidance on creating a resume and cover letter. Complete Path 3: Land a Great Job: Students use digital tools to search for a job, write a resume and cover letter, and learn how to stand out in interviews while conveying their personal brand throughout. You may visit Succeed@hostos to schedule an appointment with a Career Services team member.
