Victims of Domestic Violence, Sex Assault, and Stalking

A reasonable accommodation is any adjustment, modification, or action taken which permits qualified individuals the equal opportunity to participate in programs, activities, or employment. Requests for reasonable accommodations shall be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. It is the policy of Hostos Community College to provide reasonable accommodations to employees who are victims of domestic violence, sex offense, or stalking, unless it causes an undue hardship.

Examples of such an accommodation may include a transfer, changes of contact information, or leave to obtain a restraining order. To request an accommodation, employees may go to the College’s Director of Human Resources.
