How is overtime hours calculated?

HEO’s (non-exempt): Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Classified Staff: Hours worked between 36 and 40 per week are paid at straight time. All hours in excess of 40 are paid at premium rate (1.5).

College Assistants:–No overtime hours worked. College Assistants are normally contracted to work only 20 hours per week.

Skilled Trades:

Carpenter: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 7 hours per day.

City Labor: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Electrician: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 7 hours per day.

High Pressure Plant Tender: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Locksmith: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Maintenance Worker: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Oiler: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day.

Stationary Engineer: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day.

Steamfitter: Premium rate (2) for all hours worked in excess of 7 hours per day.

Painter: Premium rate (1.5) for all hours worked in excess of 35 per week.

Plumber: Premium rate (2) for all hours worked in excess of 7 hours per day.

Thermostat Repairer: Premium rate (2) for all hours worked in excess of 7 hours per day.
