Director of Governmental and External Affairs

As Director of Governmental and External Affairs at Hostos Community College, Dr. Eric Radezky is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with elected officials, government agencies, community organizations and other stakeholders.  His duties include developing and implementing strategic government relations policies and developing a program of advocacy for Hostos with city, state and federal officials, as well as working with CUNY’s Central Administration to advance a University-wide agenda on behalf of students.
 
Prior to joining the administration at Hostos, Dr. Radezky worked for New York State Assemblyman Joseph R. Lentol from 2006 to 2020.  Lentol served as the State Assembly’s Chair of the Committee on Codes, the committee that oversees all aspects of criminal justice legislation in the state.  As such, Dr. Radezky has a background in New York State criminal justice policy and criminal justice reform as well.
 
Dr. Radezky holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Rutgers University and an M.A. in Urban Planning and Public Policy from Brooklyn College.  Since 2018, he has taught classes as an adjunct professor at LaGuardia Community College on the Practical Politics of New York City and US Power and Politics.  From 2005 to 2006, he worked at Kingsborough Community College’s Division of Evening Studies in the eSIMS Help Center helping students resolve registration problems.
