Here are some Student IT Service TIPS to help navigate your first semester at Hostos.

Student Email: 
Make sure that you have activated your Hostos email account, the CUNYFirst system will send messages only to your Hostos College email address. 

CUNYFirst & Blackboard:

CUNYFirst is used to Register and Search for Classes, Swap Courses, See Financial Information and Pay Tuition and Fees. Your CUNYFirst account will be an essential tool throughout your educational experience.

Blackboard enables student and faculty participation in online classes and online course materials to complement face-to-face learning.
Your CUNYFirst and Blackboard account uses the same log in information (i.e. firstname.lastname##@login.cuny.edu and password).

Loaner Laptop:
In an effort to support your distance learning, students can request temporary laptops after completing their enrollment. Please complete this brief questionnaire (you will need to login with your Hostos username and password) if you are interested in receiving a loaner device for the semester.

Microsoft 365: In addition to the laptop loaner program, Hostos enrolled students have free access to Microsoft Office 365 Education. The suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, learn more hereUse CUNYFirst login, firstname.lastname##@login.cuny.edu and password.

Hostos App: 
Download myHostos app for quick access to your course schedule, transcripts and grades, online bookstore, access to Blackboard, CUNY Alert notifications and much more.

Don't forget! Know your CUNYFirst ID (EMPLID) to access campus services.
