We are thrilled to share four Hostos students—Mohamed Aden, Alpha Bah, Anthony Feliz, and Kingsley Odae—are semi-finalists for the prestigious Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation announced on Thursday, January 23, the semifinalists for its competitive Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, which supports high-achieving community college students as they transfer to four-year institutions to complete their bachelor’s degrees. The selected Caimans are all members of Phi Theta Kappa; three of the students are also HEAT scholars, two are in Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), and two are members of the Hostos Leadership Academy. Hostos’ students are among 456 semifinalists chosen from a pool of nearly 1,500 applicants attending 311 community colleges in 45 states and the District of Columbia.

The Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship recipients will be announced in April. The selected Cooke scholars will receive financial support for up to three years, college planning support, ongoing educational advising, and the opportunity to connect with fellow scholars.

Congratulations and good luck to our Caimans!
