The Hostos Community College community proudly congratulates Dr. Eric Radezky, Director of Governmental and External Affairs, on being named one of City & State’s 2025 Trailblazers in Higher Education. This well-deserved recognition highlights Dr. Radezky’s leadership and commitment to advancing higher education through public service and strategic advocacy.
As Director of Governmental and External Affairs, Dr. Radezky develops and maintains vital relationships with elected officials, government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders. He leads Hostos’ strategic government relations efforts and champions policies that support our students by collaborating with city, state, and federal leaders, as well as with CUNY’s Central Administration.
"I’m honored to be recognized as a trailblazer in higher education. This acknowledgment fuels my commitment to continue engaging our community stakeholders and elected officials to champion and support our shared mission of providing access to higher education to those who seek it. I’m fortunate to have the unwavering support of passionate colleagues who make this work possible, including Dr. Daisy Cocco De Filippis, our dedicated President,” said Dr. Radezky.
Before joining Hostos, Dr. Radezky served from 2006 to 2020 in the office of New York State Assemblyman Joseph R. Lentol, who chaired the Assembly’s Committee on Codes. His work there gave him deep experience in criminal justice policy and reform.
Dr. Radezky holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Rutgers University and an M.A. in Urban Planning and Public Policy from Brooklyn College. He has also taught courses on New York City politics and U.S. governance as an adjunct professor at LaGuardia Community College since 2018. His longstanding dedication to student success began in 2005 as a staff member at Kingsborough Community College, assisting students in the Division of Evening Studies.
We are proud to see Dr. Radezky’s career-long commitment to public service and higher education recognized by City & State.
