On May 26, four Hostos ASAP students — Johanna Palma, HCC’ 16 and recipient the 2016 CUNY Athletics Travel Award to Cuba; Onyx Garcia, HCC ’17 and Digital Design Tutor; Ashly Thomas, HCC’17 and 2016 Kaplan Leadership Program Applicant, and Gabriela Sanchez, HCC ’17 and student athlete — attended the 4th Annual Joseph S. Murphy Scholarship Reception at the CUNY Graduate Center. Students practiced their networking and business etiquette skills by interacting with guests, including keynote NY Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and important CUNY officials and more. The students were escorted by Berkis Cruz-Eusebio, Hostos’ ASAP Career & Employment Specialist.
