The Hostos Community College Joint Dual Engineering Degree Program with The City College of New York's Grove School of Engineering has been recognized as a finalist for the 2021 Examples of
Excelencia. The program was praised for its leadership in intentionally and effectively serving Latino students.
The Hostos Engineering Program was chosen from 145 submissions originating in 23 states and Puerto Rico. On October 28th, at
Celebración de Excelencia, four finalists will be selected as the 2021 Examples of
Excelencia.
Hostos Professor Yoel Rodríguez of the Natural Sciences Department who was recently informed of the good news remarked, “this national recognition is a true reflection of the remarkable effort put forth by the Engineering program’s team of talented and dedicated faculty and staff, along with the support of our administration. I also acknowledge students’ perseverance and hard work, and we are beyond proud of this amazing accomplishment.”
