Hostos men’s basketball player Jonathan LoriaHostos Community College (CUNY) men’s basketball player Jonathan Loria set a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) record with 16 three-pointers in the Caimans’ 125-84 victory over Dutchess Community College on January 12. 
 
The 16 three-pointers are the most by any men’s player in a single game in NJCAA Division I, II and III history.  The closest mark of 13 was set by Chris Weakley of Southern Union State Community College in a national tournament game in 1998.

Loria, a freshman Liberal Arts student, finished the game with 53 points, 8 assists, 6 steals and 5 rebounds in the 41-point rout. The Hostos men’s basketball team improved to 8-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
