Dr. Damaris-Lois Yamoah Lang was among the approximately 100 masked marchers who participated in the Rivertowns Women’s March on October 17.
Lang, a professor in Hostos’ Natural Sciences department and co-founder and President of Parenting Children of Color (P-CoC), served as a guest speaker and delivered a passionate speech about the beauty of diversity at the rally held at Gould Park following the march.
“I am here today to help us all refocus our attention to our differences, the uniqueness of our individuality as women. For us to understand that diversity is still strength, indeed,” she said.
