The Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture and the Hostos Repertory Company (Hostos Rep) will premiere In Real Life, Stacie Lents’ latest play, a provocative piece that speaks on the political tensions that surface during a time when technology reaches every corner of daily life.

In Real Life centers around two characters, “PT” and “LXS,” two high school students, who live in a post-Tump future when the world has gone completely virtual. This play will take you on the rollercoaster of their rebellion against cyber reality and their attempt to connect in an actual world they have never known.

In choosing In Real Life as the Hostos Rep spring production, Visual and Performing Arts Professor and Artistic Director of the Hostos Rep Ángel Morales said, “Our production sheds light on the issue of human connection and what it means to exist, the play presents the problem with some humor and serious moments, but ultimately moves the audience towards reflection.”

The Hostos Rep continues to highlight the work of Hostos student-actors and other theater enthusiasts. The cast includes Hostos students Igor Reyes and Angelie Briglall, along with guest actor Talia Saraceno.
The Hostos Rep production of In Real Life is directed by Lauren Kathleen Bidwell.
