Eugenio María de Hostos Community College is proud to announce that Charles I. Drago, Professor and Chair of the College’s Allied Health Sciences program, has been elected as the new President of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Services, Inc (AEIRS).
AEIRS is one of the largest organizations for imaging and radiologic science educators, representing educators from the United States, Canada as well as countries abroad.
The organization’s mission is, according to its website, “the transformative development of exceptional medical imaging and radiologic science professionals through the promotion of academic excellence.”
Professor Drago, who is also the Program Director of Radiologic Technology at Hostos, reacted to the news of his election by saying, “I am thrilled and look forward to leading such a wonderful organization and preside over a board that wrote the textbooks I studied from. It is an honor and I am very excited.”
