There is a lot of cause for celebration in Caiman Nation! Hostos’ men’s and women’s basketball teams are regional champs!
On March 1, both squads won their respective Region XV DIII Championship games against Nassau Community College’s programs, punching their tickets to the NJCAA DIII Basketball National Championship.
The Caiman women defeated Nassau 72-64 and will advance to the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Rockford, Illinois, March 12-14, 2020. Sunday’s game was a close one for the Caiman men, who clinched their victory with a score of 81-80. They are advancing to the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota, March 11-14, 2020.
