The Nursing Program leads to an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree for eligible students who successfully complete the five semesters of study. Women and men are prepared to become registered nurses upon successful completion of the course of study and satisfactory performance on the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).

A.A.S. in Registered Nursing - Day and Evening Program


ASAP Requirements

Current Nursing major at Hostos
3.2 GPA 
B or higher in ENG 110, BIO 230, BIO 240, BIO 310, and CHE 110
Completed 21 credits or less 
Math 120 is required for entry into the RN Program
New York City and New York Resident

Only one course below minimum is allowed to be repeated
All other prerequisite courses must earn a grade of C or higher
No sciences older than 5 years will be accepted at the time of entry into NUR 216
