The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) launches the 40th Anniversary of the Longwood Arts Project with the 2017-2020 Bronx Recognizes Its Own (BRIO) retrospective Saturn’s Return. The artists in Saturn’s Return explore the importance of self and free expression, identity, and pride through mixed-media, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, and video. This 3D exhibition is part of the 2021 Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos’ season focused on “The Bronx: Then and Now,” exploring how artists’ practices have changed or evolved over the years.
