Toni Blackman is an award-winning artist and an international champion of hip hop culture - known for her irresistible, contagious performances and powerful female presence. She is all heart, all rhythm, all song, all power—a one-woman revolution of poetry and microphone. She explodes at the mic and blooms on the page. Her steadfast work and commitment to hip hop led the U.S. State Department to select her as an American Cultural Specialist and one of the first Hip Hop Envoys. She has traveled to 47 countries performing, speaking and teaching.

La Bruja (Caridad De La Luz) is an acclaimed spoken word artist, poet, actor, singer-songwriter and community activist. Since her 1996 debut performance at the famed Nuyorican Poets Café, she has performed nationally and internationally at venues such as The Apollo and Lincoln Center. She became widely known for her captivating performance on Russell Simmons’s HBO Def Poetry Jam. Exploring social justice and Nuyorican identity, she is considered one of America’s leading spoken word poets and was named one of the Top 20 Puerto Rican Women Everyone Should Know. The New York Times called her a ”Juggernaut”.
