The Playground: Theater Open Mic is a monthly evening of creativity and expression.
Hosted by artist-in-residence Eric Avilés, the Open Mic is an opportunity for you to share your stage work in a safe space. Share a monologue, a scene, a song – or simply join us as a theater enthusiast and supporter.

The December 11 Open Mic will feature guest playwright Cándido Tirado, who was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the Bronx at the age of 11. His works have been produced at Repertorio Español, Teatro Vista, the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, and the Goodman Theatre, as well as in the Dominican Republic and the Canary Islands.
