Maria Castillo – known as “Toofly” - is an Ecuadorian / New York City artist and one of the few women to step into the male-dominated graffiti scene of the early 90’s. Staying true to her roots she continues to inspire, educate, and empower women and youth around the world.

Marthalicia Matarrita is a Costa Rican-Dominican artist based in Harlem. Diana Mcclure of Cultureserve.net has written “…the depth of her work in texture, mood and content reveals much more. Marthalicia has reached a point in her life where her spirit is grounded in hope, discovery, community, and her siblings..."

Elena Marrero is a Bronx-based photojournalist who regularly documents Boricua and Latino community life in New York City. She is known as the “Mamarazzi” of the community, documenting the people and the events that many of the mainstream media outlets overlook.

Series co-hosts Kathleen Adams and Lah Tere will engage Toofly, Marthalicia and Mamarazzi in a fascinating and empowering conversation on the steps they have taken to walk and perform with confidence and determination. Come Walk a Mile…In Her Shoes!
