The 2023 SONiC Festival, presented by the American Composers Orchestra (ACO), is a New York City-wide celebration of the breadth and vibrancy of the nation’s modern composers taking place June 1-12, 2023. In partnership with ACO, the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture is proud to be a venue. SONiC Festival explores the role of the composer as catalyst; using techniques and musical languages from ancient to modern, our artists invite listeners to be a part of the process – to listen, interact, move, and dream of their own explorations in sound.
