PLAYWRITING & THEATER WORKSHOPS
5 SESSIONS

October 25 through December 6
Wednesdays from 1pm – 3pm and 7pm to 9pm

Join award-winning playwright Eric Avilés from Liberation Arts Collective for an immersive Playwriting & Theater Workshop series. Open to all, with special consideration for people of color and Bronx residents aged 18 and above, these workshops emphasize holistic self-exploration, a nurturing and collaborative environment, connection-building, meditation, and creative games.

Two Sets of 5 Sessions are offered. The first set is in the afternoon from 1 pm to 3 pm and the second in the evening from 7 pm to 9 pm. You only need to choose one set that fits your schedule. Below is information on dates, workshop details, and how to register.

Workshop Details:

Duration: 5 sessions
Basic writing: this is an introductory-level playwriting (nonacademic) environment.
Flexible Attendance: Attend all workshops or drop in for individual sessions.
Full Experience: It is highly recommended to attend all sessions for a comprehensive understanding of crafting characters, a short scene, or a one-act play.
Diverse Participation: People of Color and Bronx residents are highly encouraged to participate, as this space is dedicated to nurturing the untold stories of people of color.
Experience Level: No experience necessary. All levels of experience are welcome.
