Division of Institutional Advancement

The Division of Institutional Advancement at Hostos Community College engages and builds relationships with community partners, foundations, corporations, alumni, and friends to raise funds to advance the College’s mission and further student success.

The Division is composed of these four areas:

  • Office of Advancement: Comprises all frontline fundraising activity, including securing leadership and major gifts, corporate and foundation support, and annual giving. [Contact Us]
  • Office of Alumni Relations: Connects and engages alumni, students and supporters with the College, community, and one another. [More Info]
  • Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture: An integral part of Hostos Community College/ CUNY since 1982, the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture, which includes two state-of- the-art theaters of 900 and 360 seats each, a black box experimental theater, and a museum-grade art gallery, is a resource for students and faculty in addition to serving the cultural needs of South Bronx residents and neighboring communities. Recognized nationally as a leader in Latin and African-based programming, the Hostos Center creates performing and visual arts forums in which the diverse cultural heritages of its audiences are celebrated and cultivated.   • The Office of Community Relations: Fosters partnerships and collaborations with community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, government bodies, and international educational entities, among others. Lobbies and assists in securing funding on behalf of the College. Works with faculty and staff on interdivisional college-wide projects and international forums. Serves as the home to the Professional Development and Study Abroad Program. [More Info]
