Special Awards

Are you an enrolled member
of a New York State tribe or the child of an enrolled member
of a New York State tribe? You may be eligible for an award
through the Aid to Native Americans Program.
Who Is Eligible?
Enrolled members of a New York State tribe and their
children who are attending, or planning to attend, a college in New
York State and are New York State residents.
Awards are made to all eligible applicants. There is
no qualifying examination. Awards are available for 2, 4 or 5-year
programs.
What Awards Are Available?
Awards for full-time students are up to $2,000
annually, $1,000 per semester. Part-time awards are approximately
$85 per credit hour.
When Should You Apply?
Postmarked by July 15 for the fall semester;
December 31 for the spring semester; and by May 20 for summer
session. There are no fees for application. Students must apply for
each semester (not annually).
