    Join the Hostos DEI Project for a workshop led by the Northwest Bronx Community & Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) on Wednesday, May 1, at 11 a.m., in room C-391. This event will engage students/faculty in conversations about power, class, and gender, and help develop skills in community organizing and activism.

  • The Enchanting Voice & Beautiful Lyrics of Hermes Croatto

    With a deep love for nature and his rich cultural heritage, folk singer Hermes Croatto carries the torch lit by his father, Tony Croatto, the legendary composer and icon of Puerto Rican folk music. More than simply honoring his father's legacy, Hermes seeks to reenergize folk music and captivate a new generation. His enchanting voice and beautiful lyrics have already earned him a special place in the hearts of Puerto Rican audiences. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Eduardo Cabra, Rec808, and Sie7e, infusing his folk music with a contemporary sound for the modern age. The evening will include his new songs, and classics from his father, among others.

    Join the Asian American Federation for a virtual presentation to understand the extent and effects of anti-Asian violence, the ways it continues to show up in our lives, and resources you can connect with. We will also explore how we as individuals and a community have been impacted by this violence.

  • Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company on May 11 and 12!

    Celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company! Their 36th anniversary features new commissions exploring Asian traditions, alongside beloved works. See the world premiere of "Reincarnation," inspired by Chinese mountain rituals, and the revival of "Carousel Divertimento," a vibrant exploration of Chinese brushstrokes. Performances for all ages! There will be two performances.

  • TWEETBOOGIE / BOGGIE DANCE: The TweetBoogie Experience World Premiere

    Always representing The South Bronx, TweetBoogie is devoted to the street styles of hip-hop and dance. Her passion led her to work with top artists like ‪Jay-Z, ‪LL Cool J, Shakira, Nicki Minaj, and the iconic Miss Janet Jackson herself, while keeping roots to the underground dance community. With an ensemble of stellar dancers, The TweetBoogie Experience dives deep into Tweet’s connection to Black music, dance, history, and true hip-hop culture.
