Crisne LebronCrisne Lebron was born in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic on February 18th, 1990 and after spending the first sixteen years of her life in her country she came to the United States with her mother and sister in 2008 to reunite with her father. While in the Dominican Republic, Crisne was selected to be a part of a special program called the United Nations Development Program, which allowed for talented young people from public schools to have the chance to work with the United Nations to look at data concerning five major issues facing Caribbean countries: Health, Immigration, Institutions, Culture and Human Rights. Crisne was specially selected for the program by the First Lady of the Dominican Republic and was considered one of the best high school students in the entire nation.

When she arrived in the United States, she came to Hostos because she was told by a high school History teacher about the Global Scholars Program, which prepares students for careers in International Affairs and International Relations, which is and always has been a passion for Crisne. Crisne has been a part of the program for two years and has excelled in her classes, achieving a GPA of 3.715. Although she was not selected to be a part of the Columbia program, Crisne has been accepted into a number of other schools, where she can pursue her dreams of helping the people of her home country and the rest of the world.

She is also an avid photographer and loves her country very much. She is also very happy to be a part of the Hostos family, which she says has become her home away from home.
