Crisne Lebron was born in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic on February 18th, 1990 and after spending the first sixteen years of her life in her country she came to the United States with her mother and sister in 2008 to reunite with her father. While in the Dominican Republic, Crisne was selected to be a part of a special program called the United Nations Development Program, which allowed for talented young people from public schools to have the chance to work with the United Nations to look at data concerning five major issues facing Caribbean countries: Health, Immigration, Institutions, Culture and Human Rights. Crisne was specially selected for the program by the First Lady of the Dominican Republic and was considered one of the best high school students in the entire nation.
When she arrived in the United States, she came to Hostos because she was told by a high school History teacher about the Global Scholars Program, which prepares students for careers in International Affairs and International Relations, which is and always has been a passion for Crisne. Crisne has been a part of the program for two years and has excelled in her classes, achieving a GPA of 3.715. Although she was not selected to be a part of the Columbia program, Crisne has been accepted into a number of other schools, where she can pursue her dreams of helping the people of her home country and the rest of the world.
Crisne is one of the kindest individuals on the planet and became a part of the Hostos Emerging Leaders Program, because her fellow scholars told her that she could have an impact in the local community. Since she joined the program in fall of 2009, Crisne has attended the Leadership Conferences at LaGuardia Community College and the CUNY Emerging Leaders Conference, she has been a presence at the 2010 Somos El Futuro Conference and was a member of a 14 Delegate team at the 2010 National Model United Nations in New York City, where she sat on the Committee for the Status of Women in the World.
Crisne has also helped to provide services to Hostos, the Bronx and other local communities in her effort to make an impact on the world. She is also an avid photographer and loves her country very much. She is also very happy to be a part of the Hostos family, which she says has become her home away from home.
As a member of the Global Scholars program, Crisne has had the chance to study abroad in both China and Italy. She was also a member of the Women's Empowerment Organization and the Black Student Union.
Crisne graduated from Hostos in June 2010, when she had a chance to meet with Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
Crisne Lebron is currently studying at The City College of New York.

Crisne Lebron represented Singapore at the 2011 National Model United Nations-New York as a part of a team from the City College of New York.
