Mission

The Information Technology Department at Hostos Community College is committed to providing a secure, cost-effective and reliable state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and computing environment to enable and enhance the productivity, accessibility and user experience for all of its constituents while focusing on a dedication towards customer service to support the College's mission.

In pursuit of this mission, the HCC Information Technology Department will:

• Make computer and telephone technology available, understandable and useable to our diverse college community throughout campus.
• Be open and prepared to adapt to technical changes in new technologies that will benefit our college community.
• Continually improve its capabilities to adapt to these evolving changes through proactive self-education, professional training and maintaining an awareness of new information technologies.
• Implement the use of a mobile and wireless computing and communication environment, where members of the entire college community will be able to access the college's network resources from anywhere, at any time, both on and off campus.
• Be pleasant, courteous, and available IT professionals who can be relied on for prompt, knowledgeable, and thorough support.
