Children's Center

The Hostos Community College Children's Center, Inc. (The Center) is a privately incorporated, campus-based childcare center offering quality childcare to the children of Hostos Community College students.

The Center is licensed by the New York City Department of Health and undergoes a periodic comprehensive inspection and all Center employees must fulfill all clearance requirements.

Parents / Legal guardians must be matriculated students of Hostos Community College. CLIP students are welcomed however priority is given to the HCC student parents.

Children must be 2-4 years of age and children 3-4 must be toilet trained.

Registration is scheduled prior to each semester. Registration for new student parents will be done on first come first served basis and will close when all slots are filled. A registration fee* and an advanced payment fee must be paid at the time of registration.

*The registration fee is nonrefundable.

Childcare fees:
Fees are subsidized and based on the amount of hours per day.

The Center's programs follow a child-centered philosophy that focuses on children and their personal developmental needs.

Toddler / Pre-School (2-3 year olds): Children engage in activities that help to develop their social, physical, cognitive and language development.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten (4 year olds only): In collaboration with the Department of Education and District 7 the program focuses on developing the skills necessary for Kindergarten.
