The Hostos Community College Children’s Center has proudly served as a campus-based childcare provider that services the early childhood educational and developmental needs of children since 1983. We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization and we are licensed by the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH).
Our mission is to offer Hostos Community College students, faculty, and staff access to a safe, nurturing, affordable, high-quality, educational learning environment for their children. We truly serve as a Preschool program for HCCC parents by preparing their children for kindergarten and beyond, as they pursue their goals in high education. We fully implement a standards/research-based curriculum that promotes social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development to empower children to become lifelong learners. In addition, we engage parents in ongoing activities and workshops to further support the holistic development of each individual child.
Hostos Community College’s Children’s Center offers the following:
- Infant Program (children 6 weeks – 1 year of age)
- Toddler Program (children 1 – 2 years of age)
