  • HLA Senior Keziah Carrington Finishes at the Top of Her Class

    Keziah Carrington transferred to Hostos Lincoln Academy (HLA) in her sophomore year of high school and immediately hit the ground running. Upon learning of the school’s Early College Initiative (EIC), the studious pupil took advantage of the opportunity offered by the program to earn college credit at Hostos Community College, and now she holds the highest GPA in the HLA/ECI class of 2022 cohort and is on track to earn her high school diploma and an A.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences at the same time—all before she even turns 18 years old.  

  • Scholars and Elected Officials Join Hostos for AAPI Heritage Month Presentation and Panel

    On Friday, May 13, Hostos Community College recognized and celebrated the contributions of Asian, of Asian American and Pacific Islanders with a scholarly presentation titled “The Chinese Diaspora: Transnational Migration and the Integration in the Dominican Society” and a timely panel discussion among elected officials and community leaders. 

  • The Hostos Community College Foundation 2022 Annual Scholarship Benefit Raises more than $315,000 in Support of Hostos Students

    The Eugenio María de Hostos Community College Foundation 2022 Annual Scholarship Benefit on Wednesday, May 18, was a tremendous success, raising more than $315,000 in gifts and pledges to provide empowering support for Hostos students. Revelers enjoyed a beautiful evening overlooking the gleaming Long Island Sound from Glen Island Harbour Club. The sold-out event radiated with the resiliency and unity that has come to define Hostos, as trailblazers in education, development, finance, advocacy, and healthcare celebrated yet another exceptional year for the College.
