Shiang-Kwei Wang, Ph.D. Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Shiang-Kwei Wang is the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost at Hostos Community College, City University of New York (CUNY). She earned her doctoral degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia and her MBA from Yuan Ze University in Taiwan. Dr. Wang has served as the principal investigator on multiple private, federal, and state grants, including those from the National Science Foundation and the Illinois Community College Board. Previously, she was the PI of Bank of America’s TechQuity grant, which aimed to address equity issues in Chicago's workforce training. Before joining Hostos, Dr. Wang held several positions including Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Harold Washington College, City Colleges of Chicago; Dean for Research at Queensborough Community College (QCC), CUNY; and Associate Dean at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Education at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Wang was a teacher educator and a tenured full professor at NYIT, where she taught both graduate and undergraduate courses and served on the committees of numerous professional organizations. Her research, focusing on STEM education, technology integration, and pedagogical practices, has been published in numerous peer-reviewed articles. In 2020, she received the Outstanding Leadership in Education Award from the United Federation of Fil-Am Educators.
